Check the compatibility results for each page. Scans and images have no selectable PDF text. Use Read & neaten to recognize words, review the results, and create a copy, or use Add handwriting to place words manually. Some outlined, rotated, or unusual PDF text also needs the manual path.

Choose Resolve conversion issues. It tries automatic fitting and can keep an unchanged difficult fragment in its original printed form. Edited or manually added answers are protected; select one to see whether it needs a larger area, smaller size, or a missing character sample. Retry preview if the issue is a connection error.

Keep the tab open while it prepares the PDF. If the app reports a failure, retry; saved documents reuse completed exports. Save your work before reloading. A temporary document can be lost on reload, so save it to the library first.

Download the PDF, then use Notability’s Import action. Browser file-sharing support varies. Ownhand transfers PDF copies; editing one app’s copy does not update the other automatically.

Your normal samples capture one style. The neatness slider varies spacing and movement within those samples. For your actual carefully written letter shapes, add neat samples in My handwriting. Photos and scans do not capture the vector pen strokes required for a personal profile.
