Existing directly invited pilot accounts keep 100 new exports a month (resets the 1st, UTC) and 30 saved documents, free of charge, until paid plans open or through May 31, 2027, whichever is later. Friends passes keep the same allowance for at least 30 days and until paid plans open. Afterward, Free limits apply unless you choose a paid plan.

A few useful details
What counts as an export?
A successfully generated new PDF version uses one export. Reopening or downloading the same completed version of a saved document does not use another. Changing the handwriting or content can create a new version. Temporary documents reuse exports only while their editor stays open.
Do I need a paid AI subscription?
Ownhand uses your ChatGPT sign-in for identity. The handwriting renderer does not make AI-model calls or use your ChatGPT message allowance. Text recognition runs on your device.
What are the document limits?
Each PDF can be up to 15 MB and 30 pages, with up to 1,000 handwriting areas and 15,000 characters in total. Previewing and adjusting your writing do not count as exports. Storage and export allowances are per account; unused monthly exports do not roll over.
Can I use a discount or a free-month code?
Promotion codes will be entered in checkout when payments open. A friends code is redeemed separately at /join: free for at least 30 days and until paid plans open, with no card or automatic renewal, for the first 20 accounts. See the friends-pass terms before claiming.
How will cancellation work?
Paid plans are not active. At launch, the person who pays will manage the subscription from the billing provider’s receipt email or through support. The final purchase and refund policies must be published before checkout opens. Read terms and billing information.
Can I take my work to Notability?
Yes. Export a PDF and use Send to Notability with your device’s share menu, or download and import the file. This transfers a copy; it is not two-way synchronization.
